Madelyne Joan Templeton is an American based artist born in Sacramento and raised in Sutter county. Templeton grew up with a deep desire to paint and draw. Diagnosed with reading and comprehension disorder, she found art a means to communicate and express her thoughts to others and to connect and create relationships. The link between art and communication still remains with her today, and enables her to improve and grow as an artist.

 During attending Yuba High, she attended summer arts programs with scholarships to, CSSA Cal Arts in Valencia in 2006, SFAI San Francisco Art Institute in SF in 2007, and a scholarships at CCA California College of the Arts and SFAI in 2008, 2009 and 2010. After high school Templeton attended Yuba College, receiving three Associate degrees; AA in Art, AA in Art & Humanities, and AS in Commercial Art from Yuba College. She then transferred to CSUS California State University of Sacramento and graduated in May 2017 with her BA degree in Studio Art.

 Currently Templeton has been commissioned to paint murals across the state, beautifying the landscape for the community to enjoy by creating master pieces of public art.
